Our Mission
We established Coast Coffee Pty Ltd because we love coffee. Coffee is not all about a simple cup of hot liquid; it is to do with the aromas, the taste and the whole the experience of enjoying coffee.
We wanted to combine the skills of growing and processing with the modern roasting techniques now available.
Through years of research, visiting other plantations around the world and working with the worldwide leader of quality roasting systems we have put everything together and formed Coast Coffee
Pty Ltd.
We are convinced the importance of about having a hands-on approach to quality. We are responsible for everything in the creation of coffee, from the growing practices, through manual processing, the complex
roasting program and the quality of
packaging. All of these principle activities are managed within the strict guidelines for organic production.
We take the program further by offering coffee machines to businesses, cafes, restaurants - in fact any type of club, organisation and office with coffee drinkers. We service and maintain all of the equipment we supply and offer a range of financing deals that fit your budget or image. Prices have come down considerably - for example we have supplied a small Espresso machine for a Doctor's waiting room with a break-even point of only ONE cup per day !!
The Australian coffee industry is very small compared to the well-known areas such as Brazil, Colombia, Kenya etc. It is a little fragmented with a handful of growers, contracted harvesting, separate processing operations and separate individual roasting businesses. We decided to
'close-the-chain' by offering a complete production of on-site growing, processing and roasting.
With the rise in demand for organic produce we also chose to start from a clean sheet and set up a completely organic growing and production facility.
Because coffee, as much as wine, reflects the diversity in climate, moisture, altitude, soil composition and surrounding fauna and flora of its region of origin that by adopting the latest organic principles we are able to ensure quality and consistency of our beans. For coffee lovers, that is the adventure you take when buying our coffee.
We have adopted the motto: 'What goes in - comes out' when it comes to quality. Using the finest growing inputs and best practices we are able to control exactly what comes out as the final product. Combine these with daily fresh roasting using the latest touch-screen automated roasting technology and our mission is complete.
